2017 – Graphic Design
In 2018, WWF's Living Planet Report provided the scientific evidence to what nature has been telling us repeatedly: unsustainable human activity is pushing the planet’s natural systems that support life on Earth to the edge.
How is it possible for each individual to act upon that - even at a very limited scale - though we think it is very unlikely to have an overall impact?
The “Sense Tour” concept comes from the international community of MakeSense that brings together "SenseMakers" and "Gangsters" in more than 128 cities around the world to help social entrepreneurs find solutions to their problems.
The idea of a Sense Tour is to meet social entrepreneurs on a given theme in order to participate in their action and give them more visibility.
A FOOD sense tour is to document the activities of entrepreneurs chosen upstream for their contribution to the sustainable food product cycle: production, distribution, consumption and recycling. Those concrete and positive actions in the agriculture field are a first step to figure out what could be tomorrow's sustainable solution to feed our world…
I decided to create the "Food Sense Tour Asia" and I dedicated one project of my Graphic Design course @Hong-Kong University of Science and Technology to promote it: I had access to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc. We could learn all the fondamentals about these tools while creating graphic components.
I created most of the elements myself, implementing them within the Wix.com platform.
I used green / blue-green colors for the main theme as it relates to the environment, trees and plants.
For the logo, I decided to design it in a round shape to give the idea of a “tour”.
I also created the font: the capital letter “A” reminds the user of chopsticks and rice. Asia it is!
